Review of Simply Gargle Salt Water Rinse

Maybe you are familiar with the old home remedy of gargling with salt water to cure what ails you? My husband still practices this piece of wisdom for colds, coughs, and anytime he just wants throat relief.

What Simply Gargle has done is to take that same time-honored practice and add a few special touches for today's consumer. The salt water has been infused with a combination of 6 antioxidants and astringents. (Vitamin C, Grape Seed Extract, Sage Extract, Rosemary Extract, Rosehips Extract, and Witch Hazel Extract.)

When we all started coming down with colds this week, my 9-year-old daughter was the first to try the individually packaged salt-water treatments. She needed a little help to twist off the cap of the plastic vial, but was able to easily gargle the treatment in the back of her throat for the recommended 15-30 seconds. With a bit of a grimace, she spit the water into the sink. "Tastes like salt water," she commented.

Five minutes later, I asked how her throat felt. "Pretty good, mom!"

Two days into the cold, my entire family is suffering. My daughter has approached me for her salt-water treatment on her own twice already. My husband has followed. I have even given it a try, and admit that it has helped take away some of the irritation that has developed from this horrible cold.

Easy to carry, the Simply Gargle treatments can be stuck into a purse, briefcase or diaper bag. They even have several varieties, including Sore Throat and Cough, Cold and Flu, Night-time Formula, and Allergy and Hayfever! Available at Albertsons, Shopko, Walmart, and Amazon.com!
