Review of Vicks BabyRub

My kids got many colds this year. Just yesterday, my 10-month-old son got sick -- AGAIN! With the recall of several over-the-counter cold medicines for kids and infants, I was left fighting his symptoms the natural and safe ways that my mother used to use. A severely stuffy nose kept my son from eating or nursing, and he would wake up so many times in the night due to congestion and cough, that I knew it was going to be a rough day.

In my search for just the right products to ease some of his symptoms and get him (and me) a better night's sleep, I ran across an old favorite: Vicks BabyRub! A pint-sized version of the classic remedy for adults, BabyRub comes in a tiny 1.76 oz jar just perfect for diaper bags and changing tables. Made from all-natural and non-medicated ingredients (including eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender, and aloe vera), it provided almost instant relief for my son's misery.

Late last night, I smeared a bit on his chest and neck at every changing. The vapors (while gentle) worked well to clear his breathing, and he was sleeping again by 3 a.m! I continue to reapply a touch at every other changing. He is getting through it, and I feel better knowing that I'm not harming him with unnecessarily strong medications.

Vicks BabyRub is available at most pharmacies, retailers, and online at Drugstore.com!
