News from Qubo!

If you're new to Lille Punkin' you should know one thing: We love Qubo. Forget for a minute that they offer some of the finest children's programming on the planet (or off the planet, if you count the Zula Patrol.) They also are continually offering some exclusive promotions and really neat initiatives that are fitting for my readers. Take this announcement:

" In response to the phenomenally successful first round of qubopics premieres, qubo, the TV and online entertainment service for children and families, will again select user-generated short animated films to debut on national TV. Between now and April 30, 2009, aspiring young filmmakers can create mini animated movies at qubo.com using the innovative storytelling web application called ZIMMER TWINS. Fifteen films will be selected by qubo to be professionally adapted into fully animated mini movies and screened on national TV this summer on qubo Channel as well as on qubo’s broadcast blocks on NBC, ION Television and Telemundo."

Whoa! That's really, really cool! But there are some other things that you should know about, too. Like:

The newest episodes of Babar and Zula Patrol are airing now! We caught a glimpse of the first few weeks of programming, and it exceeded all of our already-really-high expectations. For example, my boys (ages 4 and 5) were talking solar-powered flight for hours -- right before they went and built a space robot out of all my shipping boxes.

For more information on the things that we love about the Zula Patrol, read our review. Most of you already know how great Babar is. They are airing all new episodes of both programs throughout April and May, so your kids can get fresh opportunities to learn and be entertained. (And you can go dust or something... because you know they are in good hands while you work!)

Check out the entire Qubo lineup (with station information and times) at www.qubo.com. They also have some fun games for the kiddos!
