Review of From Anger to Intimacy: How Forgiveness Can Transform Your Marriage

I rarely review non-fiction or advice reads. Why? Quite simply, they always seem to know more than me. In this case, I can truly say that From Anger to Intimacy: How Forgiveness Can Transform Your Marriage by Dr. Gary Smalley and Ted Cunningham did know more than me. Why? It was inspired by the ultimate in marriage truths: The Bible.

You don't have to be married very long to learn that your partner (in all their wonderfulness) can get on your last nerve. How you react can be the defining point of whether things go uphill or down, and From Anger to Intimacy is the perfect tool for preventing resentment in a marriage, or turning back time to go get to "before you were angry."

Even if you don't think you've got anger issues in your marriage, your spouse may, and sooner or later, we all get a little bit irritated. I highly suggest this book for two reasons:

1) It doesn't presume to know everything about you. It does, however, give you what you need to make Biblical marriage principles work -- regardless of your situation.

2) It takes things step by step. If you're almost to the point of divorce, or you're just starting out in the marriage game, the steps are the same. And they are all very important.

From Anger to Intimacy is the kind of book you can read alone, with your spouse, or as part of a group study. Available at Amazon and other book retailers.
