Review of Lawhorn's Signature Seasonings

I'm an avid meat eater. Like a dinosaur, actually. The problem is turning regular cuts of meat (like roasts) into something unique and delicious.  I've been using a seasoning salt for years, one that you probably see all the time at your local grocer.  I was presented the chance to try Lawhorn's Seasning, however, and was curiuos if it could replace my favorite.

It did.

Lawhorns is beyond yummy.  It's more than a salt, offering pepper, garlic, and all kinds of freshly preserved spices together in the perfect blend.  At first glance, you'll think "rib rub", but it can be used on ANY food you cook. It also has 65% less sodium than other "seasoning salts" -- and it's kosher!  We used it our first week on:
  • Beef Brisket
  • Pork Loin
  • Burgers
  • Steak Fries
  • Steamed Green Beans
  • Fried Eggs
  • Tater Tots
  • and Rabbit Pot Pie!  (yes, we actually had a fresh rabbit to cook, and the Longhorn's sealed the deal on this concocted dish!)
This super seasoning has earned an official spot at our dining room table and on the stove top (where only the most-used spices set.)  I've replaced my orange seasoning salt from the past 10 years, and am looking forward to buying more.  (I used 2 of the small containers in a month!) If your family hunts or cooks game, I would highly recommend this product for bringing a natural flavor to your meats.

This stuff isn't available everywhere -- mostly the south -- but you can learn more about where it is being sold at their website (and order online, if needed.)  You can also "Like" them on Facebook for exclusive savings offers!  Let's get cookin!

*Sample was received, but we'd love this stuff, anyway!

  2. Kim,
I didn't always like to cook. This seasoning is good on everything, though. My 12-year-old puts it on the mac and cheese that she makes! Thanks for your comment.

  3. I would like to try this. Most seasonings are just way too salty and this one has 65% less sodium. That sounds wonderful. It sounds just about perfect!
