A Unique Look at Life

Most people I know don't talk about life insurance very often.  I have, only because it is one of the first purchases my husband and I made together when the children were born.  Even as a stay-at-home mom early in our marriage, I knew that my contribution to the family would be hard to replace if anything ever happened to me.

Since September was Life Insurance Awareness Month, it's the perfect time for you to talk to your loved ones about getting coverage -- if you haven't already!
According to the industry research group LIMRA, 11 million U.S. households with children under age 18 have no coverage. Those families are just one illness or accident away from a financial crisis, and something needs to be done about it. That's why LIFE has created the "Insure Your Love Picture Mosaic" in support of Life Insurance Awareness Month.
You can take part of the mosaic, by uploading up to 20 photos of your own to represent those in your life who you could help protect and care for after you're gone via life insurance.  You can do this at the Life Happens Facebook page, and when you add photos to the mosaic, $1 will be given to the Life Lesson Scholarship Program (which helps students who have lost a parent get funds for college.)

I can't think of a better reminder of why life insurance is important than by looking at photos of your loved ones, sharing them with others, and helping kids in the process.  If you haven't had "the talk" about life insurance, won't you?
