EXPIRED: Earth Day Freebies and Discounts (2012)

The month of April is a great month for those of us who love freebies.  Earlier this week there were quite a few Tax Day freebies, and now there are many freebies and discounts for Earth Day If you are out and about on Sunday, April 22nd, you can score several great freebies!

Free Earth Day Offerings

Nothing beats free, and for Earth Day 2012, you can score all sorts of freebies from reusable bags to free admission to the National Park Service.
  • Receive a free reusable bag from the Disney Store when you bring in 5 plastic bags for recycling on April 22nd.
  • Go to Guest Services at Target on April 22nd and get a free reusable tote bag.  Quantities are limited, so you might want to get there early.
  • Get a free Kellogg’s reusable bag with the purchase of any two Kellogg’s cereals or Pop-Tarts.  You must fill out a form, include the UPC codes and pay $1.75 shipping and handling.  There are 4 different bags available, and you can get them all if you turn in 8 UPCs and pay shipping and handling on each.  (Okay, this one isn’t technically free because of the shipping and handling charge, but if you love Kellogg’s characters like Toucan Sam and Tony the Tiger, these are a pretty good deal!)
  • Caribou Coffee is offering a free cup of coffee to those who bring in a reusable drink container for the drink.
  • With any skincare purchase at Origins, get a free Wish bracelet and Origins will plant a tree on your behalf when you use the code: WISH

Earth Day Discounts

While many companies are giving away freebies, several other companies are offering discounts.  These are companies that rarely offer discounts, so now might be a good time to buy if you have been thinking of purchasing these items:
  • Get 15% off Kid Konserve products when you use the code BLOG15.
Remember, in addition to freebies and discounts, Earth Day is also a great time to teach your kids how to be kind to the environment.  Make sure to check out what is happening locally to celebrate Earth Day.  You and your kids may find a fun event you can enjoy.  Happy Earth Day!
