Busy Mom Solution: The VTech LS6475-3 Multitasking Phone System

Do you spend much time on the phone?  I never really used to, until I became a full-time blogger and freelancer.  Because I spend my office time at home, I have to virtually connect with clients, brands, media, and other bloggers.  It means I need to have a dedicated phone line in my home that never fails.  (It also needs to have a phone connected that meets my versatile needs.)

Now that I'm officially on the phone more, what features are important to me?  The answers probably won't surprise you, but I need:
  • 2 cordless handsets, one for each end of the house (and a charging base to set them on)
  • Capability to mute the phone (for conference calls where I don't want the client hearing my shrieking kids in the background)
  • Caller ID
  • Ability to find the handset (because who knows which piece of furniture it got lost inside)

The LS6475-3 Multitasking phone system from VTech has all of these features -- and more!  It also features a very comfy cordless headset.  I can take notes on my computer while I interview people, or I can chat with my sister while folding laundry!

It also has what I consider the "mother" of all goodies for a phone, a feature that I didnt' even know existed until now.  It not only has caller ID, it audibly announces who is calling from both phone bases, letting me know if it's worth it to stop what I'm doing to track down the phone.  ("Unknown number?" Catch ya later.)

And perhaps the most exciting feature for anyone who works at home with the hubby (as I do) is the push-to-talk feature.  Think of both handsets as having the ability to communicate walky-talky style.  (Over and out...)

This phone is essentially EVERYTHING I've ever hoped for in a phone.  And it has HD audio -- if you're into that.

Comes with everything you see here!
Base looks like an Mp3 player, doesn't it?

The only thing I would like to add is the ability to have a corded phone on the base.  In case of storms, it's necessary, and my other cordless phone has this feature.  For now, however, it's an easy trade off to upgrade to the LS6475-3 Multitasking phone system and have an old school corded phone in the hallway for emergencies.
