Pet Month at Walmart: For the Cats!

In keeping with the theme of Pet Month at Walmart, it's time to talk a little bit about my cat, Elijah.  He was a barn kitten, who had been manhandled by the kids when he was tiny.  This made him tame, so we adopted  him into our family, and he's now an inside/outside cat.  The good part of having him outside is that he uses the potty outside -- no litter box!  The bad part is that he can be gone for a day or two, and come back with dirt and bugs!

That's why it is so important that we treat him monthly with PetArmor for Cats.  We've been using this product for over a year, and we have been pleased with the results.  We have never had a flea in our home, even though I'm pretty sure my tomcat-turned-family-cat ventures out to some seedy places at night.

We also find that he sometimes gets a bit shy, and doesn't want to come into the house right before a storm. We can lure him into the home with treats, and he's particularly fond of the Temptations MixUps we sampled this month.

These treats are crunchy, so they are good for kitty's teeth; they are also filled with a soft inside that my cat adores.  (My dog Gilbert will steal them, however, so we can only give Elijah one treat at a time.)

As far as cat treats go, these are affordable and they come with many in one bag.  This single package should last us through the month, when I'll likely use them to tempt the cat back into the house for his next PetArmor treatment!

You can find most of these products online at Walmart.com and almost all in your local retail store. Stay tuned for tomorrow's coverage of some special cat products!
