Review of Pillsbury® Artisan Pizza Crust with Whole Grain

We have been eating pizza for our "quick" meals all year long, but I have been craving a homemade pizza for months.  Pillsbury had me try their Artisan Pizza Crust with Whole Wheat, and it was super easy to create a masterpiece with the kids.

First, we "popped" open the tube (which stores nicely in the fridge). We remembered to tear off the Box Tops for Education for our homeschool volleyball team!

Laying out the dough on our sheet was a cinch.  We didn't need to oil the sheet, but I did turn up the edges to help hold in the sauce and toppings.  Then, we baked the crust alone for 8 minutes.

The kids (and hubby) helped with the toppings.  We had Genoa salami, red and yellow bell peppers, onions, and 3 kinds of cheeses!

Here is our pizza after baking!  It was amazing...

The crust had such a robust flavor, and, even though it had whole wheat in it, there was a crispy edge on it that I can't do without!  Cooking times should be longer if you add too many toppings (as I did); you will want to be sure that all your veggies have time to cook!

Would you try an easy whole wheat option like this?  With 16 grams of whole grain per serving, it's quick way to sneak in some fiber.  Learn more at the official website.
