It's Big Cat Week on Nat Geo Wild (and a Giveaway!)

What is my favorite part of homeschooling 5 kids?  The documentaries!  Things have really changed since I was a student in public school over 20 years ago; the movies are more thrilling and detailed, especially the ones about nature!

My kids really enjoy watching documentaries on channels like Nat Geo Wild, and, even though my husband and I usually screen them first to see just how "wild" they are, we end up letting the boys see most of the ones about animals.  This week is one week we REALLY look forward to, because it's the 3rd annual Big Cat Week on Nat Geo Wild!  While there are too many shows to list them all here, here's the lineup of shows that we will be personally watching live or saving on our DVR's:
  • Attack of Big Cats - Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at 10 p.m. ET/PT
  • Tiger Dynasty - Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at 10 p.m. ET/PT
  • Born Predator - Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at 9 p.m. ET/PT
  • Cheetah: Fatal Instinct  - Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Once you've had a chance to view the episodes, parents are encouraged to check out the educator/parent resource site for more ideas for furthering the conversation and learning!  (Kids can also take one of two fun quizzes.)  For more information on Nat Geo Wild's Big Cat Week, check out their website and CauseAnUproar.org!
