Review of The Little Rascals Save the Day on DVD and Blu-Ray

I remember where I was when I saw the first "Little Rascals" movie. I was in high school in the 90's.  I have seen the movie dozens of times since, and I still can't get over how cute it is!

When the newest version of the film The Little Rascals Save the Day came out Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack today, I was super surprised to be equally impressed.  It features an adorable cast, very similar to the original, and lots of family-friendly laughs that kids and parents will enjoy.  (There is even a brief cameo appearance by Alfalfa from the first movie!)

The story line of this film is simple: Grandma (played by Everybody Loves Raymond's Doris Roberts) is about to lose her bakery -- unless they can come up $10,000 to save it from the bank!  The kids come up with all kinds of crazy schemes to raise the cash, which results in an out-of-control taxi, green cats, and unending annoyances to the local policeman (played by Lex Medlin of Drop Dead Diva fame.)

At first, I was cringing at all of the mishaps; this film can be frustrating to a parent.  The kids, however, giggled at each plan gone wrong, and I soon was able to relax and enjoy the cute overload that this fresh set of faces presented.  (You'll also want to check out the bonus features.  My kids loved the deleted scenes!)

The Blu-ray Combo Pack includes a Blu-ray, DVD and DIGITAL HD with Ultraviolet.  Get it where videos are sold, or Amazon.com for under $20!
