Urbini Omni Stroller System: City Appeal for even Rural Moms

I have never before owned a stroller worth more than $50.  I love the look of "posh" urban strollers from trend-setting brands, but I'm a realist; an expensive set of wheels would be pretty ridiculous when I use a stroller more on the dusty gravel roads of my Nebraska county than in the malls of upscale shopping districts.

That's not to say that I don't love the look of on-trend strollers.  That's why I was pretty pumped to try the new Urbini Omni Travel System, now available at Walmart for under $200.  Yep, for less than the price of just a car seat or stroller, you get both.  They are available in 6 bold colors and definitely bring the form to function for a complete look and experience you'd expect to pay much more for.

Here is the stroller part of the set.  It can be put together easily in seconds to be a bassinet/carriage or upright configuration -- both which can be front or rear-facing.  This is great for the baby who likes to look around or the one who needs to see mommy's face (on different days, of course.)  The ride is very smooth in this stroller, and the wheels work well on a number of surfaces, including bumpy gravel roads!

You'll need two hands to fold, unfold, and put the stroller together. All the features require pressing buttons on both sides, so there is no fear of accidentally collapsing the stroller before you're ready.  I really like the padded straps for baby, the sunroof, and the shade umbrella.  They've really thought of everything with this stroller.

The photo below is of the stroller folded.

Here is a quick video of some of my favorite features:

As far as the car seat goes, it was super light -- just 8 pounds!  Easy to use right from the get-go, it attaches and releases easily from the base.  I don't feel like I'm lugging around more weight than necessary with it, either.  It's sleek, slim, and fits nicely alongside the other car seat boosters in our Suburban!

The car seat can be used with the stroller, although I prefer to use them alone.  There are many configurations for this set, which means it has one of the longest lives of any travel product on the market.  Babies from 5 pounds all the way up to toddlerhood can enjoy some part of this system.

Find it at the Walmart.com website in limited quantities, or look for it at a store near you!
