In a Hurry? Get Walmart's Low Prices To Go!12:52 AM
If you've ever tried to get in and out of a grocery store for just a few things on the way home from work, you know that it's an impossible task. With Walmart, it's super difficult, because I tend to impulse buy much more than I came into the store for. If I could just stick to my list and never leave my car, it would be the perfect shopping experience when I'm running late, on a tight schedule, or don't want to deal with getting the kids out of their car seats.
On a recent trip to Bentonville, Arkansas, I was able to see the test location for a new Walmart Pickup location, which I hope will be coming to my area of the country soon!
The Pickup Grocery store allows you to order your shopping list online, then schedule a window to pick it up later. During the pick up window, you can drive into an assigned parking stall and wait for an employee to bring your order out to your car! You can choose to see the produce and make sure it meets your standards before signing for your order. Your kids never have to leave their car seats, and you can stick to that list (and budget) you set in advance.
What's included in the list of items you can buy? Over 10,000 fresh and dry grocery products – which includes produce, snacks, drinks, and even meat, are available to pick up in the location. There is no charge for the service, either.
The second cool development we got to experience was the Walmart To-Go location. This is like the convenience store you find inside a gas station, but with -- get this -- prices that are completely unlike what you would find inside a gas station! They were as affordable as the same products you'd find inside an actual Walmart.
Just take a look at the example in the photos below:
The store is small, but offers quite a variety of items, such as baby supplies, milk, personal care, and even fresh fruit! You can grab gas and a gallon of milk, and not have to feel bad about your budget!
Both the Pickup Grocery and the To-Go locations were something I could see myself taking advantage of often if they ever come to my part of Nebraska! Would you shop at either? Find out when these services are available in your area by checking your zip code here!
