Mother's Day Dessert Kids Can Make: Ghirardelli Caramel Turtle Brownies

With all the talk of cards, flowers, and candy, I know that many kids are wondering just what they can get their moms for Mother's Day that is both thoughtful and affordable.  I came across these Ghirardelli Caramel Turtle Brownie Mix boxes at my local Walmart, and I KNEW that this was a winner.  At just $2 a box, they are affordable, and kids can get help to create them just in time for the big day!

To make these, I just followed the direction on the box with a few modifications:

1. I made these in my Wilton silicone baking pan, so I omitted the non-stick spray.

2. I didn't put the caramel topping on the brownies before baking. I waited until after they were removed from the oven and partially cooled, and then I applied it.

The result was something ooey, gooey, and very decadent.  Could you imagine kids presenting Grandma or a favorite Aunt with these amazing brownies?  You can pick up the brownie mix (which includes nuts) at your local Walmart, or order for your next special event at Walmart.com.
