My kids adore Shaun the Sheep. It's a favorite show of theirs, and I think it largely has to do with both the clever writing and the lack of dialogue. When a story can be told with just the occasional "baaa" or sound effect, you know the writers are doing something right.
With the release of the new Shaun the Sheep movie (now out on Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital copy), my kids settled in on the couch for some popcorn and an adventure with our favorite farmer and barnyard pals. When the farmer gets amnesia (in the city, of all places), he discovers he has a knack for fancy hair cutting. The sheep back at the farm are worried that he may never come home!
In classical "Shaun" fashion, there are adorable lambs, high adventure, and clever little jokes that adults will find pretty amusing. It's a great film for all ages, and one that we will likely watch over and over. (On a side note: we were die-hard fans of Chicken Run, and have probably watched that over 2 dozen times.)
We were blessed to receive a fun prize pack to help us celebrate the Shaun release. Here is my son, in a comfy tee with his favorite sheep on it!
