Summer Eye Protection for Babies and Toddlers? It's a Thing!

This past weekend, we went to an annual festival that's near and dear to our family's heart. Annevar, or "Ravenna" spelled backwards, is a time-honored tradition for the little town of Ravenna, where my husband grew up!  In addition to attending some fun events, such as a parade and an old-fashioned ice cream social, we took in quite a bit of sunlight. Maybe even too much sunlight!

Thankfully, I remembered the sunscreen, we stuck to the shade as much as we could, and we were also able to equip even the smallest of family members with eye protection. The Babiators sunglasses that Manny sported were every bit as adorable as they were functional (offering 100% UVA and UVB protection).

Now, if you it's your first time trying sunglasses with a baby or toddler, you should know that there is a bit of a learning curve. He wasn't sure what to make of them at first, so you might want to get them used to having them on a little at a time until it is second nature to them. Fortunately, we were watching a fun parade with fire trucks and candy, so once the glasses were on, he was focused in on other things and looking cool while being safe in no time!

And because travel can be stressful enough as it is, you may be wondering about keeping the Babiators clean, protected, and at your side. You really don't have anything to worry about: they are flexible and break-resistant, as well as easy to keep clean. And if you happen to lose them? Babiators are backed by their signature Lost & Found Guarantee™ - if you lose or break your shades within one year of purchase, Babiators will replace them for free! So, he can crawl, hike, and run freely without any reason to stop doing what babies and toddlers do best. EVERYTHING!

While I love it when my little guy looks cool in little guy fashion, I really just want him to grow up healthy and happy. Proper sun, wind, and dust protection for his little peepers is a health concern that we really don't give much thought to. Babiators keeps it a no-worries kind of thing, and -- as a busy parent -- I really appreciate that!

Did you know? Childrens' eyes are especially susceptible to sun damage (3x a much as adults, in fact.) The Babiators sunglasses come in a variety of styles and colors, and two sizes (0-2 and 3-7) so little eyes can be safer every day of their childhood until they are big enough for grown-up sunglasses!

  1. I would love to win these shades for my grandson. He loves to be outside and his eyes are blue so he needs to wear protection.
