Being obsessed with all things British, Irish, Danish, castles, knights, princesses, history, dragons, and such, I have been following the news of the HomeAway Castle vacations pretty carefully. Yes, they sponsored me to share this epic giveaway experience with you, but also, I have been secretly plotting my own castle escape for many months. Only after learning that it's not some crazy fantasy, and that it may be an affordable way to vacation with our large family, did I stop feeling guilty about it!
In case you missed the earlier news, HomeAway has teamed up with Disney to give a lucky winner and 20 friends or family the chance to stay in the dreamy, breathtaking, and historically-relevant Duns Castle in Scotland. And better yet, even if you don't win, their list of 20 castle experiences is almost too good to be true! Staying in a castle for as low as $20 a person per night is such a fantastic vacation revelation that I haven't stopped researching the possibility since I was first engaged to share this with you!
