Review of Newton Baby Wovenaire Crib Mattress

3:02 PM

I received a Newton Baby mattress to review. Opinions are my own.

My kids have tried all kinds of mattresses during their infanthood. I've parented infants over almost 15 years, so new technologies and safety recommendations made sure I never bought the same mattress twice! One new mattress that has everyone talking gave me the chance to try it out. Even with no babies in the home, I knew that this was something I had to see for myself.

The Newton Baby Wovenaire Crib Mattress came to me in a big box. I had forgotten how much room a baby mattress takes up! Inside was one of the softest mattresses I've touched. The outside cover was very, very silky smooth and breathable. Inside was the mattress, and it was not what you would expect!

The inside is made from a patented Wovenaire core that is almost 90% air and 10% food-grade polymer. It's as comfy as a foam and latex mattress, but much safer! There's also no off gassing, toxic chemicals or allergens. You can feel very good about putting your baby or toddler on this mattress!

And the best part? Both the mattress and cover are completely washable. The cover goes in the washing machine, but the core can be rinsed off in the shower or tub! It's so easy to be clean again!

Watch our quick video, where we show just how resilient and soft the mattress is. We tested it with a 15-pound weight, the average weight of an average 6-month old baby.

I'm excited to use this mattress with our toddler. Learn more about it at the Newton Baby website!
