Work from Home?

Crazy, isn't it? Working from home can drive any WAHM or WAHD a bit batty. Good thing there's a resource that knows it and share some sanity with it's hard-working readers.

The WAHM Magazine is a great read for anyone doing the 9-5 thing (or 2-11 thing) while raising kids. If you have a dedicated home office or just schlep a laptop around during Play-Doh hour, there's something good you can take away from this mag! And even though I've contributed to this paperless and totally eco-friendly publication, I'm not playing favorites.... The WAHM Magazine has even partnered with Trees for the Future, which means they'll plant 10 trees for every new subscription!

Not ready to take the plunge? You can buy single issues, too! And even though the magazine is digital, it's still very portable. Just save your purchased issue as a PDF file for easy viewing offline!

Barbie Wave It! Has Hit the Scene!

Ok, I know you all just came off the excitement of the Barbie giveaway that we held not too long ago. (We are still getting the winners finalized, BTW.) I had to let you know that we really enjoyed reviewing the Braid It! doll, but were really excited that they also had a Wave It! line with some very cool features, as well...

If you have a girl at home who loves Barbie and wants a really easy way to style her hair, you have to try the Wave It! Doll. (Read how much we loved the Braid It! doll at our review here.) Get fun styles for you and Barbie with all the included styling tools and accessories (the tools really work!) There are even hair extension for both Barbie and her stylist. We also love that the outfits are stylish and trendy without being over-the-top or inappropriate.

As always, Barbie likes to hang with her friends, and the Wave It! Teresa and Nikki Dolls have all the same fun style. For full Barbie news and updates, see their website!

The Best Buzz: Money Savvy Generation Shows How to Share!

We love how Money Savvy Generation has always helped us communicate the importance of sharing in regards to finance. Is it any surprise, that they have decided to "share" their own success with America's Second Harvest?

In response to rising food costs and the growing need for donations at food shelters nationwide, Money Savvy has offered to donate a portion of proceeds from Volume 2 of the Millionaire Kid's Club Books to the charity.

We're psyched that the company is "walking the talk" and giving back to communities!

qubo® Develops Nutritional Guidelines For Advertising Targeted to Children

One of our favorite networks (qubo) has decided to step up to the plate when deciding if its advertisers are good for its viewers. The TV and online entertainment service for children announced that it has created nutritional guidelines that will dictate the ads that run on the qubo channel, as well as on the qubo programming slots that air on NBC, ION, and Telemundo.

The guidelines were created with the help of nationally renowned author and expert on childhood obesity, Goutham Rao, MD, clinical director of the Weight and Management and Wellness Center at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. These standards list acceptable daily limits for foods based on calories, fat grams, and saturated/trans fat, sugar, protein, fiber, and sodium.

We personally love all of qubo's children's programming (which includes VeggieTales, Jane and the Dragon, and 3-2-1 Penguins.) I'm glad I'm not the only one who cares about our children's nutrition and health!

See more about qubo at www.qubo.com!

About Us...

I am always out for the next best thing when it comes to making my life easier. Cleaners, diaper gadgets, the latest "how-to" books all make me salivate at the thought of a breezier way to do the mundane. Lille Punkin' Reviews wants to give you our views on just those products. A free resource for parents and friends of parents, Lille Punkin' will offer regular, unbiased opinions of a variety of items!

All of the products that we review have been tested personally by my family and other designated "testers." We do not accept payment for our reviews. All reviews are clearly labeled by the post title, "Review of...." and these are never compensated. (We are sponsored by select companies for some of our other posts.) We will also let you know of interesting promotions, savings opportunities, and useful article info as we find it!

We hope that you have found us to be reliable and trustworthy in your search for the best family-friendly products!

FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)

Who are you?

I'm a Stay-at-Home (except when I'm running errands), Homeschooling (I prefer to say Home Educating), mother of 4 beautiful children ages 9, 4, 3, and 1! Life is hectic as we remodel our old farm house and learn the ropes of parenthood and adulthood. I have a new passion in blogging and sharing product information after working as an Account Executive and Project Manager in my past life.

Do you disable no-follow tags on your comments?

You betcha! In an ongoing effort to support other bloggers and improve page-rank for everyone, I have removed the no-follow tags on my comments. This gives you credit for links on my website! (No spamming, please.)

How do I remove no-follow tags?

All the info is here.

Do you get paid to test products?

Absolutely not. We do not accept payment to "talk up" a product more than any others. Furthermore, all my reviews are 100% totally honest. While we give every product an equal chance at being featured, if it does not meet our standards for safety, usability, and quality, you won't see it here! (Note: All of our product reviews are titled "Review of...." and are never compensated.)

How do you make a living?

I do allow sponsored advertisements and posts from select companies. I only allow family-friendly ads for products I would endorse myself! In addition, I continue to write from home as a freelance author, blogger, and editor!

Where else can we see you?

As a freelance writer, my stuff can be seen many different places. WiseBread and ParentingSquad are just two of the blogs I write for. Additionally, I am a featured writer at Consupo and Red Plum! You can see more of my work at The Work-At-Home Mom Magazine.

Are you available for media opportunites?

I have been fortunate to participate in radio interviews and major newspaper features (where I'm sometimes able to share my favorite products, frugal tips, and WAHM survival hacks.) If you have a speaking, marketing, or media event that you would like me to participate in, please contact me at our email. (Please put "media opportunity" in the subject line.) Please allow ample notice for travel arrangements.
