Well, well, well.. time for another cleaning product review (yeah!) I really do love my products, and when I can find one that not only works really well, but smells fantastic, too -- I get super excited! When I was approached to review the entire line of Sun and Earth products, I had never heard of them! The packaging was very different-looking, and I didn't recognize it from anywhere. I'm glad I got a chance to try it, however.
Here's why:
1. The smell... oh, dreamy. They are the most refreshingly terrific odor of orange oil and orange zest. You use any of the products, and it really smells like you have an instantly clean house -- even if you haven't finished yet. It's not a chemical smell, at all. But lovely :)
2. The goodness. These products shine as safe alternatives to products that contain petroleum, chlorine, phosphates, dyes, and perfumes. Not only will you find none of that stuff in here, you'll also be happy to hear that they are made from plant, fruit, and vegetable oils. They are non-toxic!
How did they compare to other cleaners in the "cleaning" category? Awesomely. I didn't notice any problems, except that I had to dial down how much I used (the laundry detergent, specifically). They are concentrated, and you don't need as much as you think!
I had the chance to try the hand wash, laundry liquid detergent, fabric softener sheets, fabric softener liquid, counter top spray, glass cleaner, laundry stain stick, dish detergent packets, and the dish liquid (which is my favorite of all the products.) Do you want a chance, too?
We are giving away one complete set of everything I tested, plus a nifty branded reusable tote bag (perfect for groceries.) The total value of the prize is $52.00! That's everything you need to get cleaning right away!

The most important thing I try to get my kids to do is put things away as soon as you are done with them. This makes lceaning up and keeping your house nice so much easier. This applies to bathroom use also. As soon as you are done taking a bath wash the tub and then when you are done putting makeup on and doing your hair clean the sink. This is great for the kitchen also-use it and clean up right away.

When it's time for a new box of baking soda in the refrigerator or freezer, don't throw the old one away - use it to sanitize the garbage disposal!

I've found that cotton swabs are great for cleaning crevices in the sides of mirrors and for also cleaning the area where my stovetop is raised a bit from the counter. When you've sprayed a cleaner on the surface, or dip the swab into it, you can be sure that you'll get the areas clean that a cloth, sponge or paper towel can't reach.

My tip is to do a 15 minute tidy-up daily so things don't pile up.
ReplyDeleteFAntastic Giveaway; love the supplies especially from settling for less time/expense involved; thanks/raymondw345@AOl.com
ReplyDeleteWhen I clean the bathroom, I apply the toilet bowl cleaner right away and then clean the rest of the bathroom. It breaks down and makes it easier to clean.
ReplyDeleteMy very favorite cleaning tip is using microfiber cloths - I use them for everything - when you wash them together (with no other laundry) and without fabric softener they retain their lint free properties, and they are green since they are re-usable hundreds of times!

Don't put off cleaning until it becomes a huge job. A little every day will keep you much happier.
ReplyDeleteI clean a little every day so i'm not overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to use non-toxic cleaners (like the ones I'll be winning here), but mostly don't get obsessed with having a "spotless" home. Chill.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cleaning tip is don't procrastinate.
