FreshPet Select and Dog Joy Pet Foods

My puppies are a big part of our big family.  They love treats and snacks, and (to be quite honest) people food, too.  While I don't dare give my pups people food often, I was happy to learn that Freshpet Select had a line of meals that were so much like people food, they have to be kept in a special fridge in the pet food section of your local Walmart!

Unfortunately, none of the Walmarts in my area carried the Freshpet Select Roasted Meals, which were the products we were supposed to specifically sample.  It's too bad, because they have a version for both dogs and cats (I also love my cat.)  Here you can see what the product looks like:

It comes in a 1lb resealable bag, so you can store it nicely in the fridge between meals.  The cat version is made from fresh chicken and real carrots and spinach.

Even though I couldn't sample of the Freshpet Select Roasted Meals, I did happen to have a sample of the Dog Joy  and Dognation Ready to Bake Cookies, both made by the Freshpet company.

The cookies came 18 to a box, and were kept in the fridge.

I took them out and followed the simple directions for baking:

And here is what we got!

These cookies smelled delicious.  I had to keep my kids away from them, because they smelled so good.  But would my dogs like them?

Gilbert was suspicious (why is Mom giving me "people cookies?")

Glenn ate it up before I could snap the photo...

Both are happy dogs.

Look for Freshpet Select Roasted Meals at your local Walmart Supercenter, as well as keep an eye out for the ready-to-bake-cookies.  Availability will vary, so you may want to call ahead first!

More info in Freshpet can be found at their website , their Facebook page, or their Twitter account!

*Sample cookies were received to review.  Walmart asked me to participate in a Petfresh Select Roasted Meals feature, but none were available (so I wrote about the cookie samples, instead.)  Walmart has provided me with compensation for my time on this post as part of the Walmart Moms program. Participation in this program is voluntary. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
