Walmart Partners with Children's Miracle Network

Are you familiar with the Children's Miracle Network?  Like all causes we cover here on the blog, they are helping to make lives for children better; the network is currently comprised of over 170 children's hospitals working together to treat millions of kids each year who may not otherwise have been able to be treated.  The patients are people you may know; local hospitals are changing lives in communities everywhere.

Walmart has a special role in helping kids:
Walmart and Sam’s Clubs have raised more than $530 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1987 when ‘Mr. Sam’ agreed to allow the associates to raise money for children’s hospitals with the promise “the associates will amaze you.” Indeed they have.
This is great news for kids who are sick and needing quality care.  As health care becomes more expensive, and kids' illnesses are identified earlier, the need for groups like Children's Miracle Network will become even greater in the years to come!

Wanna Help?  From now until June 15th, you can assist your local participating CMN hospital by shopping at your local Walmart and opting to give a little more at the register.  The total goal for 2012 is to have $25 million raised by the end of this campaign!  Just imagine how many kids will be helped by this!
