Review of California Pizza Kitchen Frozen Garlic Chicken Pizza

We have had frozen pizza at our house a bit more than I would prefer, mostly due to the hectic new fall volleyball schedule that my daughter is having us go through.  Just as I was starting to get a bit tired of your typical pizza varieties, I was offered the chance to try my choice of California Pizza Kitchen pizza from my grocer's freezer; I went with the crispy thin crust Garlic Chicken.

As you can see below, this pizza is loaded with fresh-tasting ingredients.  For a frozen pizza, I was taken aback at how the chicken tasted like chicken (something that really isn't all that common in the freezer section.)  The sauce, which was technically a "white" sauce was even liked by my husband (who usually hates that stuff.)  My boys appreciated the caramelized, garlic infused onions more than any other ingredient on this pizza.

As you can see below, this pairs nicely with fresh salad:

While a bit pricier than your typical frozen pizza, I felt like I was buying ingredients that made me feel okay about serving pizza -- once again.  If overloaded with good stuff is what you look for in a frozen pizza, I think you'll be satisfied by all the varieties that California Pizza Kitchen has to offer.
