Review of Cowgirls 'N Angels on DVD

Every little girl wants a daddy, so when Ida sets out to track her own down via the rodeo circuit (and without her mom's permission), a bit of drama is bound to unfold.  In the new film Cowgirls 'N Angels, Ida - played by Bailey Madison - is a cheeky, smart, and vivacious young character who is determined to get her Daddy, even though she's never met him. Along the way, she learns to trick ride horses and builds a new family with her riding mates (a group of once-troubled girls who turned the rodeo into a home of their own.)

This film has so much going for it: real acting, characters you care about, the sweet soul of a feisty young girl who just wants to be loved and wanted.  I think all of us relate to the character of Ida - even if we had dads growing up.  This is a truly family-friendly film that is skillfully made and doesn't have the "direct to DVD" feel of cheaper family films.

There are a few elements that are more appropriate for older children to understand (a girl who runs off with a boy she loves, a few dangerous horse stunts, the rejection Ida faces when she assumes the wrong man is her father.)  In the end, however, the drama is balanced with a sweet and inspiring ending that even the youngest viewers will feel warm about.

If you want a film that does just about everything right and brings the message of family home, this is it!  Available only at Walmart on DVD and Blu-Ray, this movie can be yours for just $19.96!  Be sure to check out the film on Twitter and Facebook!
