Honey Bunches of Oats - Now with Greek Yogurt!

I've been a Honey Bunches of Oats fan for years.  It's a slightly sweet way to start the day, and I love when I get to the bottom of the box (there always seems to be more crunchy "bunches.)  I was asked to try the new Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch with Greek Yogurt and Whole Grain (now available at Walmart).  Here are my thoughts:

If you like the original version of the cereal, you will no doubt love this.  It has all the same textures and flavors, in a way.  (I love that the flakes are really flaky - you have to eat them quickly in milk!)  The clusters are just as crunchy and good (and big, in some cases.)  Where the yogurt comes in, however, is subtle.  There are small yogurt-covered pieces that I can really tell add a creamy, sweet richness to the cereal when I'm eating it dry.  I milk, it's a little hard to tell that it's there.

I'll also add that, even if you hate yogurt (I'm not a huge fan of the Greek stuff, myself, but love regular yogurt), you should still like this.  Think of it more like the sweet yogurt that covers raisins than the yogurt you get out of a container.  Plus, you can't deny that getting 2 servings of whole grain PER BOWL is a pretty neat incentive to having a bowl for breakfast in the morning!

Since Greek yogurt is a hot trend right now, I can see Honey Bunches of Oats fans going for this.  And they should; it's pretty tasty and lends a little variety to the classic taste you've been enjoying for years! Snag it at your local Walmart in the cereal aisle!
