I was delighted to watch Smurfs 2 before it hits stores on December 3rd. While the first movie was charming, this movie was -- in my opinion -- so much more meaningful. It was safe for all children to watch, had a message of love and family, and really had something entertaining for all ages. My husband and I (who often tire of kids' flicks) really thought this was one of the best family movies we had seen in awhile.

In the new film, Smurfette has a bit of an identity crises, and is fearful of how her past may define her as a smurf. Parents will relate to this story of finding out who you are (in spite of any challenges you may have overcome), and kids can learn alot from a tale that emphasizes bravery, family, and protecting one another above all else.
