I've used Site-to-Store many times for buying items that I needed online so that I could pick them up at my local Walmart the next time I went shopping. But this past week, I needed one item right away, and it couldn't wait for it to be shipped to me! Since my Walmart is 30 minutes away, and I didn't want to leave it to chance that the product I wanted was going to be available, I tried the Pickup Today option to buy the LEGO Dimensions Starter Kit for Xbox 360. There was a great deal online, and by choosing the Pickup Today option, I was able to grab it right away and ensure I got the price I wanted and didn't have to wait.
How does it work? It's simple. Choose your favorite Walmart store when signed into your Walmart.com account, then search for the items you want. Make sure to check the box on the left-hand side of the screen for items that are already in-stock and ready to be picked up.
Place your order, and get notified when your order is processed. Then get notified again when your item is ready to be picked up (usually within an hour). You have 9 days to get your item, and you can get it from the "Pickup" department of your store (marked with orange signage) anytime their pickup desk is open.
I ended up ordering a second item in the time between when I ordered our LEGO Dimensions Set and when I picked it up, so I picked them both up on the same day. It was easy peasy!
