Philately Report: Stamp Highlights for May 2017 (Giveaway!) {EXPIRED}

So, I've decided to let you in on a bit of my private world by sharing how much I love stamp collecting! It's not a cheap hobby, and since we are a family of eight on a budget, I have decided to only buy the most intriguing first day covers. I also use sheets of fun stamps for our personal and business mailings, and that makes it feel special to me!

So, this month, I ordered a few first day covers from USPS.com, as well as a sheet of the new Nebraska statehood commemorative stamps for my own mailing use.

Aren't they beautiful?

This month's philately report includes the JFK, Barn Swallow, and Nebraska first-day covers. We also have a giveaway!

I also picked up three very beautiful first-day covers: JFK, Barn Swallow, and the Nebraska stamp again.

(If you do not know the barn swallow personally, you might not understand why this was such a great find. They are an amazing bird and they have so much personality. If you can get over having them build nests in the most unconventional places, you might be able to see their little baby birds each spring. You can certainly hear them!)

These are just a few of the neat finds the USPS has for sale right now. Even if you don't consider yourself to be a philatelist (stamp collector.)

Wanna Win? We are giving one lucky U.S. reader a grab bag of stamp goodies! We'll throw in a few neat first-day covers and a surprise sheet of new forever stamps of our choice. Who knows what you'll get! You have until May 12th at 11:59 pm EST to get your entries in.
