We Try Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

Perhaps you've heard all the buzz about "BB Creams".  I admit to having no idea what they were, but I was tired of my heavy foundation and had sworn off makeup entirely while I let my skin rest.  I only used a moisturizer with suncreen over the past few weeks, so I wasn't game for any product that required much of me.

Luckily, Maybelline's BB Cream 8-in 1 Skin Perfector is really a time-saver.  It's light, covers well, and feels like a very thin moisturizer.  It isn't oily at all (it's refreshing when I put it on.)  While I still need a blemish stick for the really bad areas of my skin, I can get away with wearing it in place of a moisturizer, sunscreen (it has SPF 30), dark eye circle stick and powder.  My skin glows a little when I have it on, and it doesn't look like I'm wearing foundation (no "mask" line).  It's basically a more even and refreshed version of my nude skin.

I had purchased a competing brand of BB cream before this one, and I loved how it felt and covered.  Unfortunately, that brand's lightest shade was too dark for my very fair skin.  The lightest shade of Maybelline BB Cream, however, was perfect for me.  I like that it makes my skin even (no red marks), but it allows my freckles to show through.  (Which I love!)

Here is a side-by-side comparison of my liquid to powder foundation vs. the BB Cream.  Note that the BB Cream soaks into the paper.  It's almost like a watercolor paint!

Affordably priced at $7.44 a tube, this stuff lasts as long as your typical foundation and comes in 5 shades.  You can find it at your local Walmart or online at Walmart.com!
