DIY Recycled Pallet Project with Rose Art Surprise Inside Sidewalk Chalk ($200 Giveaway!)

Whoa! It's still a chilly 30 degrees outside, but my kids are busting at the seams to spend some time outdoors.  We were thrilled to be asked to participate in a promotion with Rose Art, because my kids have been begging to use chalk outside -- even though our sidewalks are still covered in ice.

To help celebrate the launch of a very cool new product from Rose Art (The Surprise Inside Sidewalk Chalk), we were asked to create something unique with the kids using the chalk.

We decided to recycle a wooden pallet that had been sitting at the end of our driveway after a recent home supplies delivery; I made sure that the surface was smooth (without slivers) and we started our project!

This was very simple.  I gave each kid a color from the Surprise Inside Sidewalk Chalk pack, and had them color a section of the pallet.  When they were done, we used it as a prop to pose for spring photos!  I only wish there was a little more sun this time of year, as we had some shadows on our photos.

Not only did we color the pallet, but the children found a few large, round rocks to color.

After almost an hour of using the brightly-colored chalk, the large piece of chalk (a skull) revealed a tiny toy inside!

This chalk is so much fun to use, and we are excited to give you a chance to win it AND a shot at a $200 Gift Card!  To learn more about the chalk (which is affordably priced around $3 - perfect for stuffing Easter baskets), visit the Rose Art official website!

Wanna Win?  We have TWO separate promotions going on with this post, so read carefully...

Contest #2: To be eligible to win a $200 gift card to purchase chalk and other outdoor goodies, use chalk (you can also purchase the Rose Art Surprise Inside Chalk at Target, Walmart, or Kmart) and submit a photo of your outdoor chalk project to me via email at linsey {at} knerlfamilymedia {dot} com

Fine Print: For each promotion, there is a limit of ONE entry per person, per email address.  All entries must be received by April 8th at 11:59 pm CST.  Promotions are limited to U.S. residents ages 18+ at time of entry.  Giveaway #1 is a random giveaway.  Giveaway #2 is a contest, and the best entries as picked by me will be forwarded on to Rose Art for final judging and prize award.  If no eligible entries are received, prize will not be awarded.
