Review of Lee Kum Kee's Panda Brand Sauces

I love making a quick Asian dish for dinner.  It's a great way to use up whatever fresh meats you have on hand, as well as get rid of some of the veggies that are taking up room in the crisper. My dilemma comes when it's time to make a sauce.  I can usually whip up a nice peanut or basic soy sauce, but it's usually lacking in flavor and variety.  That's where sauces like Lee Kum Kee's Panda Brand come in.

Whether you're stir-frying in a wok or baking in the oven, these sauces are so easy to open and pour over your finished dish to give a restaurant-quality sauce to your meal.  Our favorite so far has been the Orange Chicken, a very sweet and tangy sauce like those at many "American-style" Chinese restaurants.  It was so good (and a bit spicy) that I ordered a case of it on Amazon.com the week after we tried it.

We also really enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken (although this was too spicy for the kids).  They also make a Lettuce Wrap Sauce, Mongolian Beef Sauce, and Broccoli Beef Sauce; all come in a foil pouch that stores easily and takes up less packaging than glass bottles.

I am so excited to have a super easy option for one meal a week.  Whether we have chicken, beef, or pork on hand, dicing up some veggies and serving over rice and noodles is a breeze!  You can get this MSG and high-fructose corn syrup free meal component at your local grocer -- or from Amazon (their Subscribe and Save option can help make it even more affordable.) Check out the brand on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube!
