Update on the Champions for Kids Snacks for Students Program!

*The following post is an important message that means so much to me and my family. Although it is part of a sponsored campaign through the Motherhood, all views are heartfelt and 100% my own.

Earlier, I told you about how my local Walmart (and 3,000 other Walmart stores nationwide) would be putting out Champions for Kids bins in the front of their stores so that customers could donate healthy, shelf-stable snacks for kids in the local community as part of the Snacks for Students initiative.

My store put out bins for the Tekamah-Herman Schools Backpack program, and I was able to shop with funds to fill up those bins!

Just take a look at some of what we were able to buy:

This was about half of our donation, but you can see that it will go a good way toward putting food into those backpacks for kids to eat over the weekend.

We were so happy that Champions for Kids was able to partner with my community, and I hope that you were able to give, as well.  Today was the LAST day to participate!

If you missed out this time, be sure to visit the Champions for Kids website to see how you can get involved.  They do campaigns year-round to make sure kids are taken care of during difficult times.  There are lots of ways you can help! (You can also find out more via their social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook!
