Honey Garlic Lit'l Smokies Recipe1:48 PM
We consider Lit'l Smokies to be the quintessential party food. In fact, we usually make a big, big batch in the slow cooker and dump BBQ sauce over them for a quick and popular party treat. We sampled something different this week with the Honey Garlic Lit'l Smokies recipe from the Walmart Holiday Entertaining Guide, and I must admit that they were only a tiny bit more work, and they were jaw-dropping good!
To make these tasty appetizers, you'll need the following ingredients, which we purchased from Walmart:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz Lit'l Smokies
Start by mixing everything but the Smokies in a bowl. Put the Lit'l Smokies in a 3-4 quart slow cooker. Dump the mixed sauce over them and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4 hours. Stir occasionally and enjoy piping hot!
Double or triple the recipe for even more guests. They also make tasty leftovers!
