Another Way to Protect Little Ones in the Sun: Rash Guards for Babies and Toddlers

It's March here in Nebraska. And that means it is 80 degrees and sunny one day, or snowing with a chance of 5 inches of accumulation the next. And while I'm so super excited for the time that we can wear our warm weather clothes every day, I'm happy to be able to do some online shopping for things we'll need for fun in the sun!

Walmart asked me to have our little Manny try their new Child of Mine by Carter's 2-piece Rash Guard set. It's a very adorable set that is priced right -- just $12.97! This online exclusive comes in five color combos, and it is by far one of the most comfy ways to spend a warm day playing outside.

Whether you take the trunks for a swim or just wear them for active play in the yard, they are cozy, breathable, and wash up nicely. Manny didn't have a pool to enjoy them in yet (we are expecting another blizzard tonight!), but he did hang out in the yard crushing up last year's leaves, which are still falling from the trees here in Nebraska.

He looks like he's up to no good, doesn't he?

The details on this set are just perfect, from the double stitching on the trim to the high-quality elastic waistband. I'm most excited by the rash guard tee, however, which offers UPF 50+ of ultraviolet protection for his delicate skin. (We currently have our boys all wear rash guards in the pool as another tool to protect against sun damage that can later lead to skin cancer. -- which runs in my family.)

This 2-piece set is just one of the exciting new items available from the Child of Mine line for little ones this spring and summer. You can also see the Rash Guard Swim Set for little girls at Walmart.com!
