  9. I like to make pizza dip for the big game: spread 8 oz cream cheese in bottom of glass pie plate, top with pizza sauce and cheese. Heat in microwave and serve with Frito Scoops. You can also top with veggies & pepperoni.

  10. My best tip is to have a bunch of food cooked and put out buffet style before hand. We make a crockpot of chili. Have small sandwiches. Mini hot dogs, chicken wings and meatballs wrapped in crescent rolls. All easy foods that can be prepared before hand.

  21. We always travel to Arizona to be with our family for the Big Game. We always do a clam dip. Have to have it. Also, we always play a game having to do with the Big Game. We all answer questions before the game starts (like Who will win the the coin toss? Which team will score the first touchdown? etc). We add up the points at the end of the game and give that person a prize. We love it.

  22. My favorite game day recipe is a big pot of chili verde. I use my mom's recipe which calls for green chiles, pork, white wine, onions and garlic, and then simmered for hours the day before. Then I serve it with refried beans and tortillas.

  32. My tip is to overkill on the snacks and lay it out buffet-style across the coffee tables in front of the couch for easy grabbing! We like to grill before the game but then put out a lot of Tyson Hot Wings & Cool Ranch, Velveeta-Chili Dip & Jalapeno Chips, Sausages in a Blanket, etc., for game-time snacking.

  38. I make really easy chili dip, Smear a block of cream cheese in a pie pan, top with a can of chili and a cup of grated cheese. Heat at 325 for 10 minutes and serve with chips!

  45. The worst Super Bowl party food I've ever had was something the host called "tiger meat." It was basically raw hamburger, raw egg, onion, seasonings---pretty much raw meatloaf--spread on crackers. Awful!! So I guess my tip would be---don't serve tiger meat to your guests!

    Our parties are usually pot-luck..everyone brings a side dish or snack to share...it cuts down on me having to do all the work and shoulder all the expense and everyone gets a chance to try someone else's favorite recipe.

Veggie platters with several low-fat dip or salsa choices and cold shrimp appetizers are my 2 favorites. Maybe even some frozen yogurt choices instead of the traditional ice cream.

  84. For our sports viewing parties, I take everything out of the "viewing" room except the seating. I replace the tables with outdoor tables or folding trays. Every glass gets a cozy before it's set out on the buffet. Paper plates are set into wicker trays. Food fills the buffet table and then it's every wo/man for her/himself...and I don't have to worry about what gets messey, and nothing is in danger of getting broken.

  98. My big game day recipe is Beef Enchiladas.
    Flank steak - season w/ basil, garlic and minced onion - 4 hrs in crock pot and shred. Add 1 can green chiles.
    Put 1/4 cup beef in tortilla, top with shredded cheddar & roll.
    Place in non stick sprayed caserole dish, top with green medium enchilada sauce and shredded cheddar.
    Bake at 350 for 20 mins. Top with salsa and sour cream. Serve with chips and salsa.

  159. My tip- make foods you can make ahead of time so you aren't stuck in the kitchen. A fave is tortilla roll ups.

  166. My tip would be on how to save on all the fixin's. Wal-Mart always has great sales on chips and sodas around the Super Bowl. Stock up :)
