Animal crackers (or cookies) are fun snacks for your kids to eat. As a kid, I remember finding pieces of the animals in the bottom of the box and trying to piece them back together. My own kids aren't much different. They “play” with their food just as much as they eat it when enjoying a good animal cookie.
Barbara's Snackimals are just like the fun animal-shaped cookies you loved as a kid, but with so much more going for them. First, they are much more nutritious. Instead of being loaded with high fructose corn syrup and artificial ingredients, these have ingredients like organic cane juice and cocoa powder. They are also much more delicious. We sampled both the Peanut Butter and the Double Chocolate varieties, and we gobbled them up in an afternoon. (There are seven of us, remember?)
My husband and I liked the chocolate ones the best, but the kids liked the peanut butter. Both were buttery, rich, and had little pieces of chocolate and peanut butter in them. They almost melt in your mouth, and my 14-month old son couldn't stop eating them!
Perfect with a glass of cold milk or your afternoon cup of coffee, these are a indulgent-tasting treat without the guilt of eating something that's bad for you.
You can find out more about Snackimals at Barbara's Bakery website.
