My Kids Adore Jake and the Never Land Pirates!

I can't think of too many things my kids like more than pirates.  My boys will take things like spatulas and plastic hangers, fashion "hook arms" out of them, and then terrorize each other all day.  While I appreciate all the "skullduggery", I also like a bit of quiet.

Jake and the Never Land Pirates is a more G-rated version of the pirates my boys love.  It is also rather tame, so you won't be exposing your kids to hours of hyper-active cartoonish creepiness.  My 4-year-old really loves the show, singing along with the catchy songs, and answering the characters when they ask questions.

The show airs on the new Disney Junior lineup, which has been so popular, a Disney Junior channel will be born in early 2012!  That means even more of the age-appropriate shows our children love -- including Jake and the Never Land Pirates!

Here are our boys doing their best pirate impression:

Ready for more pirate fun?  The new holiday special is coming up soon:
In the holiday episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates, titled It's A Winter Never Land! / Hook On Ice, Jake, Izzy and Cubby awake to find that Peter Pan has left the crew some presents and a tree to celebrate Winter Treasure Day, and Captain Hook invites Jake and the crew on a winter treasure hunt. The episode premieres FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2 (8:30-9:00 a.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
We won't miss it, and if you have land-lubbers between the ages of 2 and 7, you shouldn't either!  Get more info on the Disney Junior lineup (as well as Jake and the Never Land Pirates, specifically) at the Disney Junior website!
