Review of Bosch Toy Tools and Sets from One Step Ahead

I have a 2-year-old who LOVES building things.  Why not?  He's the youngest of 4 boys who all follow their Daddy around all day while he works in his shop.  I have been searching for the perfect toy for him to play with this holiday season, and I think I found it with the Bosch Toy offerings at One Step Ahead.

The two items I received to review were the Bosch Junior Workbench ($59.95) and the Bosch Toy Toolbox and Tool Set ($29.95).  I put them together in less than 15 minutes total, and now they are ready to go under the tree!

Here is the Junior Workbench, designed for kids ages 2 and up:

It has a hard hat, tools, nuts and bolts, a vice, (plus several other tools) and includes places to hang or store everything.  There are also some neat gears that can be turned on the workbench!

The bench didn't feel the sturdiest when not put together, but the design is well-done.  After getting everything connected, I'm confident that it will hold up well under my rowdy boy's constant use.

For slightly older kids, there is the Tool Box and Tool Set.  It is designed for kids ages 3 and up, mainly because there is a "real" working toy drill that includes a small bit set.  It is tiny enough for small hands, though, and my very small 5-year-old is the perfect age and size for this toy.

Everything can be stored in the toolbox, which looks just like their Dad's!

These are just two of the items that I adore from the One Step Ahead online store.  I have been receiving their catalog for years, and I have always found their offerings to be unique, educational, and perfect for encouraging hours of open-ended play that help children develop and have fun!  Be sure to check out their website for holiday sales, as well as their money-saving email newsletter!  (They also have a giveaway going on right now!)
