Do you know what I did this summer? A lot of driving, for one. I took a fabulous road trip down to Nashville (13 hours) with my Grandma, mom, and sister. We had a blast -- and enjoyed so many snacks and drinks along the way.
One thing that would have made our trip even better was a spill-proof beverage cup like those offered in the Contigo lines. I am so impressed with the options they have, I'd love to tell you about my experiences with two, in particular.
AUTOSEAL® Madison Water Bottle
This is my teenage daughter's new favorite water bottle. We had an issue with her drinking out of her regular water bottle until mold would sometimes form around the rim. It was disgusting, so I threw it out and gave her the Madison. This bottle cleans up so easily, and the AUTOSEAL® functionality is brilliant! She can hold it with one hand, open the spout, and drink without taking her other hand off of her homework, handlebars of her bike, or electronic gadgets! She's drinking so much more water this summer with this bottle. I appreciate that it's BPA-free and comes in an assortment of colors that teenagers like. The 24 oz. size makes it great for kids her age (it also comes in 32 oz.) -- it even fits in our car's cup holder! We also appreciate the carry-handle that's built into the bottle. She can take it anywhere, and it's spill-proof.
AUTOSEAL® West Loop Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Mug
This was the most surprising of the Contigo products we tried. I assumed by looking at it that it was solely for coffee and hot beverages. It did fantastic with those, but my favorite use for it was keeping ice water very cold for up to 12 hours! This made it a favorite option for my husband and I while outside doing garden work. We could fill it up 1/3 with ice and the rest of the way with water, then have a cold sip anytime we wanted, without going back into the house. When it's time for coffee in the morning, however, I have no problem brewing directly into it. It fits perfectly under my one-cup coffee brewer!
