Better Gums May Mean a Better Mom? #YourGumsMatter

So, here's the deal. I've struggled with gum health (you know, the ones that hold you teeth in your mouth) for the past 5 years. Being pregnant so many times had taken a toll on my gums, and I decided to fight back by seeing my dentist not just 2 times a year, but three, and we managed to get the problem under control with a plan of action that was easy to implement but oh-so-important to my future health.

Why is gum health such a big deal?

Gums play an important roll in keeping your teeth where they need to be. Diseased gums can lead to tooth loss, which can lead to changes in your overall health.  Gum disease has been linked to all kinds of scary things like diabetes, heart disease, and other illnesses.  Plus, not having teeth is one of my biggest fears; the shape and appearance of your mouth really depend on a good tooth structure.

Thankfully, there are so many great products out there to keep my gum health routine simple and effective.  I have been using G.U.M products for as long as I could brush, and between the brushes and flossers, it's been possibly to stop the gum damage pattern that was happening after pregnancies and get my oral health back on track.

What's even better is that my kids are learning good habits, too!  If I can help them avoid some of the issues I've gone through, they'll have a happier, healthier adulthood.  Better gums for me is just one way that I'm able to inspire them and make sure I'm around for a good, long time.

Just take a look at this 30-second video from the G.U.M brand which proves gums should be treated well!

As you can see, the small efforts we make to keep gums healthy, can have a lifetime of positive effects! Big ones! Learn more about how the G.U.M. brand can help at their website.
