Holidays are so important to me. They are the perfect opportunity really spend time and get to know my kids and what they value in life! Bringing the family around the table during the holiday is essential to that happening, but I hate spending a lot of time in the kitchen.
Since semi-homemade is how I roll during the holidays, I've gotten accustomed to keeping a supply of Farm Rich products on hand. They also make a quick snack for football parties and family board game night!
What holiday hacks do you use to spend more time with your family?
We created a yummy Crispy Mushroom Stuffing recipe using Farm Rich Mushrooms that I will be proud to serve at my family's upcoming Thanksgiving meal. It was so delicious, and my kids gave lots of compliments.
- 1 box Farm Rich Mushrooms
- 1 box chicken stuffing with seasoning
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1 and 1/2 cups boiling water
Start by preparing the mushrooms according to the package directions for frying. This shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes or so, if you have your oil nice and hot!
While they are frying, start a pot of boiling water, or use an electric tea kettle, like I do. It will be ready to go when the mushrooms are done!
Pour out the stuffing mix with seasoning into a glass baking dish. Add in the butter and hot water. Stir until moistened Top with the fried mushrooms and gently fold in with a large spatula. Now it's ready to serve!
This yummy stuffing is so crispy and fluffy and savory! It was all the makings of a great holiday dish, and it takes just 20 minutes to get on the table. We ate it up with no leftovers!
