Easy Monkey Bread Recipe

I love Monkey Bread! The sticky, sweet treat is like cinnamon rolls, but so much easier to make. I through together this easy recipe when we defrosted our freezer, and we found a big bag of Pillsbury Southern Style Homestyle Biscuits all thawed out in a big ball. Not wanting to make 24 biscuits at the moment, I made Monkey Bread!

Here's how. You'll need:
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 thawed homestyle biscuits
  • 3/4 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
Start by preheating oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 12-cup bundt cake pan with spray. Mix the white sugar and cinnamon, the dump into a large Ziploc bag.

Take small pieces of the dough (approx one inch each), roll into balls, then drop 2 or 3 at a time into the bag of cinnamon sugar. Shake to coat, then place into the cake pan. Continue until the pan is full and dough is all used up.

Mix the brown sugar and melted butter together, then pour over the dough. Sprinkle liberally with the nuts. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until baked through. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then turn upside down on a plate and serve.
