Yeah! We are thrilled to see another book from one of our favorite authors launched this month. Carole P. Roman has been bringing our family (and families who crave stories that teach) books on difference places and times throughout history. She's now ventured into one of the most intriguing places ever -- space!

Aimed at readers ages 4-8, this is a book that even my older ones like. (We like to have the older ones read this book to the younger ones. That way, they all can learn.)
Since February is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) month, it's perfect timing that this book is released. Space exploration is one of the most fascinating ways to hold your kids' attention and help them master STEM principles. Space is NEVER boring!
Just look at the amazing illustrations. They help bring this topic to life.
Kids will read about children, just like them -- except that they are on Mars. Read about what it would be like to grow seeds in space. See how hot the air on Mars is. Learn about how orbits work. Kids will be introduced to new vocabulary words, such as Celsius, colony, and even aphelion! There is a handy Pronunciation Guide in the back of the book to help parents and kids sound out the difficult ones. Each includes a brief definition, too.
