Review of Ninja Squirrels Game

Thanks to RoosterFin for providing us with a sample and sponsoring our feature!

We had another chance to review a great game from RoosterFin. This time it was Ninja Squirrels! With a name including Ninja, my 7-year-old was begging to play daily from the time we got it. This game is very simple, but engaging enough for older kids to play with the younger ones. Here's how it works:

Set up the game board. This takes seconds to put the large circle together, and put a colored acorn in each slot.

Hand out all of the cards evenly between players, but don't peek! The first player will lay down a card, and that is the card you want to "match." Each card has a ninja with a color and an acorn with a color. So, if the first card laid is a Purple Ninja with a Purple Acorn, you'll be trying to match that combination.

Keep laying cards until you get the match. Once a match is laid, the first person to reach for the same color acorn gets to keep it! Then the next person lays the card to be matched. And so and and so on until all of the cards are gone or all of the acorns are gone. The person with the most acorns, wins!

My kids really liked this game. I like that it plays quickly, so it's something you can do with just 15-20 minutes of spare time. It's easy to set up and clean up, making it a favorite for busy households with no need for complicated game play.
