Mac-and-cheese Stuffed Peppers10:45 AM
Do you have an obscenely large stack of recipe books in your cupboard? Are you a hoarder of "clippings" from magazines with extravagant food ideas you'll likely never use? I am guilty of both of these practices, and yet, I still end up making the same old recipes!
Yesterday, I surprised my family with a new recipe that I though they'd enjoy. It was Macaroni and Cheese Stuffed Peppers, and I got the recipe from the Walmart Meal Solutions app on Facebook! The premise was simple: using four ingredients: Kraft Homestyle Macaroni and Cheese, green peppers, Oscar Meyer Fully Cooked Bacon, and Parmesan, you could create a meal for four.
The process involved halving and boiling the peppers for 8 minutes (I used extra large peppers and was able to make over 6 servings -- the kids cut each pepper half in half again after they were finished cooking.)
Then, you prepare the Kraft Homestyle according to package directions.
After adding the crumbled bacon, you coat them with some Parmesan and bake them for the specified time. They came out beautifully!
You can find this and other easy to make recipes in the Meal Solutions App. While you're there, look for unique recipes of the day, save meals to your meal planner, or upload a photo of your finished product to let others know how the recipe worked for you! Your photo may be selected as the Meal of the Week!
What do you think? Would you use a tool like this? Would your family enjoy the stuffed peppers I made?
