Service Saturday - WIC Program

WIC: Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. The WIC Program serves to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, & children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care.

Some of the offerings of the program include:
  • Supplemental nutritious foods
  • Nutrition education and counseling at WIC clinics
  • Screening and referrals to other health, welfare and social services
Women and children participating in the program can expect to receive supplemental food vouchers for healthy items such as milk, juice, cereal, eggs, beans, cheese, carrots, and tuna. Infants participating in the programs may receive formula, cereal, or juice.
