Review of Yoplait Kids

Yogurt is a major part of our grocery plan. We love the taste, the way it fills you up, and the multiple health benefits that it provides. The kids, however, aren't always so enthused about the concept. (They usually ask for pudding when I broach the subject.)

Yoplait Kids has effectively combined the good things about yogurt with a taste that kids can enjoy. No complaining, no whining, and no half-eaten yogurt cups to dispose of. The character branding that comes on the packaging (loving that Dora!) is just icing on the cake -- and the addition of DHA to its formula speaks highly of their dedication to improving the health of families!

We gobbled the pack we received as quickly as we got it. I'm sure you'll find it a nice addition to your child's breakfast, snack, or "treat."

Wanna win? We have THREE fabulous prize packs from Yoplait Kids to give away. You'll get a coupon for a free pack of the yogurt, plus an outdoor activity kit with oodles of activities for children to do outside! Just comment here with your favorite way to get kids to eat healthy or get outdoors, and you'll be entered! You have until Friday, April 24th to get your entries in. Giveaway is subject to complete site rules. (Be sure to give us a way to reach you if you win, and remember that we will never use your email or contact info for anything other than to send your prize.) Good luck!

  20. My kids love yogurt and beg for it everytime we're at the store. They love salad. I have always served salad from when they were toddlers and it was okay for them to eat it. It amazes others in restaurants when they see my 4 kids, ages 3 to 15 goggling salads and begging for more. They love all veggies. They basically live outside. They love action. 35. I guess you could say I bribe kids into eating healthy. I tell them strawberries are candy and mashed potatoes are potato chips for fairies. Okay, maybe "lie" is a better description. Whatever. The kids see through it, anyway, and love to play along. Especially, when we add food coloring to the mashed potatoes in honor of the Twinkle Fairies that live in the neighbor's garden. 67. I have found that the best way for my kids to eat healthy is for them to help make the food. I have found that all of my kids seem more willing to try something new and much more likely to declare it a winner if they had a hand in preparing the dish! My boys have never been super-picky eaters and our rule has always been, "You don't have to eat it, but you have to try it" has always been successful. My kids are good about trying something and in the rare instance that they don't like it, I don't push it on them.

We have tons of outdoor activities to try to get the kids to play outside as much as possible. (With four kids in our house, the volume can quickly get too loud for them to always play indoors). The boys are definitely into sports, so they'll play baseball or basketball or soccer in the front yard with each other or some of the other kids in the neighborhood who like to come over and hang out at the house. Thanks for the great giveaway!
