Yogurt is a major part of our grocery plan. We love the taste, the way it fills you up, and the multiple health benefits that it provides. The kids, however, aren't always so enthused about the concept. (They usually ask for pudding when I broach the subject.)
Yoplait Kids has effectively combined the good things about yogurt with a taste that kids can enjoy. No complaining, no whining, and no half-eaten yogurt cups to dispose of. The character branding that comes on the packaging (loving that Dora!) is just icing on the cake -- and the addition of DHA to its formula speaks highly of their dedication to improving the health of families!
We gobbled the pack we received as quickly as we got it. I'm sure you'll find it a nice addition to your child's breakfast, snack, or "treat."
Wanna win? We have THREE fabulous prize packs from Yoplait Kids to give away. You'll get a coupon for a free pack of the yogurt, plus an outdoor activity kit with oodles of activities for children to do outside! Just comment here with your favorite way to get kids to eat healthy or get outdoors, and you'll be entered! You have until Friday, April 24th to get your entries in. Giveaway is subject to complete site rules. (Be sure to give us a way to reach you if you win, and remember that we will never use your email or contact info for anything other than to send your prize.) Good luck!

ReplyDeleteWe swim and walk the neighborhood. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI generally don't have to give them incentives to get outdoors, but to eat healthy, I have to give them some tv time, or read one of their fave stories. I have been so wanting to win this pack. Thanks
ReplyDeleteyogurt for desert, after dinner.
ReplyDeleteMmm, we love yogurt, so my girls would love to win this prize pack. We spend nearly one day a week at the zoo, and we play at the park or on the porch in the sandbox constantly. We love being outside as long as the mosquitos aren't out.

ReplyDeletekhmorgan_00 [at] yahoo [dot] com
My kids ski or snowboard all winter, and they're in a local youth mountain biking club. Two of them play football and they all love to swim. Keeping them active is easy for me, but I'm exhausted.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun giveaway! Thanks for sharing~
I keep fruit on hand at all times for their snacks & try to get at least to vegetables with every dinner. We also try to get a daily walk in.

My kids love yogurt and beg for it everytime we're at the store. They love salad. I have always served salad from when they were toddlers and it was okay for them to eat it. It amazes others in restaurants when they see my 4 kids, ages 3 to 15 goggling salads and begging for more. They love all veggies. They basically live outside. They love action. Thanks, Stefanie Hartman fhartman@frontiernet.net
ReplyDeleteNow that the weather is getting warmer, we take evening walks. My son participates in various sports, currently baseball. He is a picky eater and always takes his lunch to school. Yogurt is one of his favorite things to pack.

I think the best way to get kids active outside is by doing it WITH them. By setting a good example kids will learn outside physical activity can be fun.
ReplyDeletepamelashockley at netscape dot net
My family plays badminton and we also take walks in our fields.
ReplyDeletebrewerchickey78(at)yahoo.com
we love hiking - gotta keep exercise fun! :)
ReplyDeletewould love to win for my son
ReplyDeleteWe spend a lot of time in the pool
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky, my kids love being outside. They ride bikes, rollerblade, go for walks, get wet/swim, etc. If they seem like they are starting to sit inside to long, I just tell them ride bike around block. That usually gets them going enough, that they stay outside.
ReplyDeletewe like to go to the park and walk.
ReplyDeleteWe like to walk, swim and play outdoor games. Also eat lots of fresh fruits.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for hiding the vegetables in the macaroni and cheese, and other such tactics that get veggies into my kids' tummies without complaint. I also think allowing the children to help you prepare healthy food goes a long way in getting them to want to eat it.
ReplyDeletemsurosey@yahoo.com
No problem getting my daughter outside, it's trying to get her inside sometimes that is hard! But my boys I have to get them outside sometimes, so we bought them rollerblades and now they are getting great exercise. Also my hubby is an excellent chef and cooks good food so well that it isn't too hard to get my kids to eat healthy!
ReplyDeletewoobyjjm at yahoo dot com
Get kids to play sports, they don't even realize they are exercising.
ReplyDeleteshaw.collin@gmail.com
my kids were resistant to veggies for awhile, once we found the sesame street vegetables and bought those a few times they LOVED them
ReplyDeleteThere's a great playground / play area in our town park which is only about a mile from me. It's huge and a big hit.
ReplyDeleteI'm really fortunate that my son's like yogurt. My little one looks for it in the fridge! My older son loves fruits and veggies
ReplyDeleteI guess you could say I bribe kids into eating healthy. I tell them strawberries are candy and mashed potatoes are potato chips for fairies. Okay, maybe "lie" is a better description. Whatever. The kids see through it, anyway, and love to play along. Especially, when we add food coloring to the mashed potatoes in honor of the Twinkle Fairies that live in the neighbor's garden. Thanks for the chance to win a healthy prize! (krstrpp at hotmail dot com)
ReplyDeleteI am lucky - my daughter likes to eat healthy foods! We also go on long walks with the dog!

My kids have always loved to visit restaurants that have salad bars! They are big salad eaters and for exercise we all love to bike ride.
ReplyDeletemy daughter loves going outside. And she limits herself on "junk" food. She sees first hand what eating junk can do to you.
ReplyDeleteLeave the healthy food out in plain site and stash the junk food away..or better yet, don't buy it!
ReplyDeleteautielady[at]live.com
I told my daughter junk food does not help the body fight off the sickies so she snacks on fruit & for outside her and her boxer likes 4-wheeling.she also loves her pool.agolden1998@aol.com
ReplyDeleteWe go to Disneyland (yay for annual passes!) often to get outside and moving. We also chase the kids around on their bikes or in the back yard.

I like to take my kids to the zoo or park. Our zoo is close and for $50 I was able to get a family pass. It's fun and gets us walking. We also like to ride bikes together, take walks and work in the garden.

ReplyDeletewe go bike riding together
ReplyDeleteEvery day includes some type of outdoor activity and we change it often to make it fun!
ReplyDeleteWe love to go on nature walks and camp out in the forest. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI get my kids to make healthier choices by comparing it to something unhealthy. I tell them it tastes like such and such and even if it only gets them to try one bite, at least it's a start!
ReplyDeleteNow that the weather is getting nicer,we love going on walks with the kids & taking them to the park.
ReplyDeleteMy son enjoys sports and my husband practices with him.

ReplyDeletelkziegler[at]gmail[dot]com
We have a really nice, large community park about 2 blocks away, and at least 3-4 times a week,(weather permitting) I can be spotted with my 5 kids and dog taking a walk (or the kids will ride their skateboards along). My kids love when we make a game of their study guides/flashcards and quiz them along the way! Its good excercise and gives us time to interact together!

We got a new puppy partly to get the kids out of the house and taking her for walks.
ReplyDeleteNo problem getting my grands outside. They love walking through the cemetry with me reading tombstones while I research our family history.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite way to get my kids to eat healthy is to stay away from fast food places and have them help prepare & serve the meal.
ReplyDeleteIt is easy to keep my kids active.
They run and play all day.
I have found that the best way for my kids to eat healthy is for them to help make the food. I have found that all of my kids seem more willing to try something new and much more likely to declare it a winner if they had a hand in preparing the dish! My boys have never been super-picky eaters and our rule has always been, "You don't have to eat it, but you have to try it" has always been successful. My kids are good about trying something and in the rare instance that they don't like it, I don't push it on them.
ReplyDeleteWe have tons of outdoor activities to try to get the kids to play outside as much as possible. (With four kids in our house, the volume can quickly get too loud for them to always play indoors). The boys are definitely into sports, so they'll play baseball or basketball or soccer in the front yard with each other or some of the other kids in the neighborhood who like to come over and hang out at the house. Thanks for the great giveaway!
wE ARE TAKING VITIAMS, EATING YOGURT & THINGS WITH OATS, MORE VEGGIES & FRESH FRUITS.
ReplyDeleteWE GO TO THE PARK & FLY KITES, SWIMMING, WALKING, CAMPING & FISHING!
ZESTYWONDERLAND@GMAIL.COM
We walk to our local park. It is so nice when the weather is warm.
ReplyDeleteSchool lunches are atrocious, so we pack them. Sandwish on whole grain greain bread, piece of whole fruit, carrots, and yogurt are our norm. (And yes, our usual yogurt is Yoplait)
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is really simple - keep good food around! My daughter loves to graze and I find that if I keep out (or easily accessible) some fresh fruit and veggies (already cut up, so there's no excuse!) then she makes the right choices!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity :)
