Country Crock and Mrs. Dash Want to Help You Get Healthy in the Kitchen!

I remember when I was pregnant with my 2nd son. The doctor told me to cut out salt. I shopped and shopped, and came home with a bag full of overpriced and underflavored "substitutes." Needless to say, I was very disappointed with what I found, and my food tasted blech.

It is now almost 5 years later, and BOY have things changed! Like the new varieties of Mrs. Dash seasonings that I got to test out recently. These salt-free seasonings are nothing like I remember about Mrs. Dash. They are fun, yummy, and taste nothing like "salt-free." My favorite of the line is the Fiesta Lime. It is perfect for cooking chicken or beef with, as you can use it in tacos, enchiladas, or fajitas! *Super bold flavor, but not too spicy!* (They also have a super tangy Caribbean Citrus Seasoning Blend with allspice, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. It's a perfect grilling condiment!)

Cutting out salt is a great way to make meals healthier, but you can also "cheat" a bit by adding in a bit more Vitamin D! Kids (and parents) can sneak 40% more of this vital nutrient into their diets by trying products like Country Crock Calcium plus Vitamin D (which contains additional calcium... BTW, too!)

We were really excited to try both the Mrs. Dash and the Country Crock at our home. No added work involved, just a dash and a pat -- and we were on our way to healthier eating!

Wanna give these two fabulous products a try, too? We are giving 3 prize packages out to Lille Punkin' Readers, complete with some Mrs. Dash Seasoning Blends and a coupon for $3 off Country Crock Calcium plus Vitamin D.

To be entered to win, just comment on this post with which of the two products you are most excited about, and how you would use it to make your family meals more healthy! You have until June 16th at 5pm CST to get your entries in.

  1. I am very excited about both products! My boyfriend has high blood pressure so the Mrs. Dash would be great, especially since he likes spicy foods. The Country Crock would be great because i can always use the Vitamin D. I was taking supplements over the winter but stopped since summer is coming. The little extra would probably be good. 2. I'd love to try the Mrs. Dash products. I'm a bit skeptical, having tried salt substitutes at my mom's house years ago, but I'm willing to give it another shot.

  3. Although I would probably use the Country Crock more often than the Mrs. Dash, I am most looking forward to trying the Mrs. Dash. I have been in a rut and have been seasoning all of our meat dishes with garlic, pepper, and MSG, so Mrs. Dash would give my poor family something new to try. I would try the Fiesta Lime on chicken first, and then make a Mexican meal out of it.

  19. Hi, I think both the Mrs. Dash Seasonings and the Country Crock with Calcium and innovative products. My mom used the original Mrs. Dash when I was growing up because of the health benefits. I would love to be entered in the Country Crock with Calcium giveaway because all ages can usually benefit from Calcium. We use margarine on
corn on the cob, butter bread, baked potatoes, etc. Many thanks, Cindi

  20. I'm most excited about the Mrs. Dash seasonings. I'll admit that we use way too much salt and I think having some Mrs. Dash around will help us add flavor to our meals without adding the salt.
